The Marlow 11mm Gravitas is a high strength static rope designed for rope access, ascending, descending, and work positioning. Its nylon core and polyester cover provide a supple feel, strong knotability, and excellent resistance to abrasion, UV exposure, and water. With just 1.7% elongation at 300 lb, Gravitas delivers low stretch and precise handling for demanding professional applications. It is certified to CE EN 1891 Type A and NFPA 2500:2022 Edition.

Product description

Gravitas is the latest rope innovation in Marlow’s 200+ year history, engineered for a variety of rope access
operations. New for 2026, this rope will be your go to for ascending, descending, and work positioning. It
is a high-strength static rope with one of the lowest elongations on the market: 1.7% at 300lbs (NFPA). This
rope is by far the best in its class! Even more impressive than the data, is its handling. Gravitas has superior
knotability, and not just for tying the knot, it’s also easy to untie after it has been loaded. The nylon core
keeps it supple and round, while the burly polyester cover gives it excellent resistance to abrasion and UV as
well as strength retention when wet.
