SPRAT is the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians that outlines skill sets, certification processes, and issues and maintains 3 year certifications for work at height professionals all over the world.  Rope Access Technicians are used in different industries all around the world, including, but not limited to Wind Energy, Telecommunications, Structural Inspection, Geological Work, Ski Resort Operations, and Window Washing.  Rope Access techniques have also crossed over into public safety functions and the industry has seen a rapid increase in Fire Rescue personnel and other safety professionals obtaining certification.

SPRAT Certification consists of 3 different levels starting at Level 1 and evolving to Level 3.  No experience is required to obtain Level 1 certification.  Upgrading to Level 2 and Level 3 each require a minimum of 6 months AND 500 hours of verified experience at the preceding level.

SPRAT training through The Weinel Group is available for Levels 1, 2, and 3, and usually consists of 4 (8-10 hour) days and self-study sessions followed immediately by a single half day of certification evaluation by one of our highly experienced training partners.

All of the necessary equipment, except for gloves, are provided to the class in order to maintain a consistent presentation with an identical student experience.  High dexterity utility style gloves are strongly encouraged but not required.  These classes are available on a case by case basis and require a minimum of 6 students and maximum of 8.  Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions.
