RNR Supernova Pocket Escape Bag

For When The Situation Hits Critical

The Supernova Pocket Escape Bag was engineered from the ground up for one objective: clean, controlled deployment under the worst conditions. When visibility is gone, movement is restricted, and stress is high, an escape bag must open decisively, deploy predictably, and stay out of its own way.

Every design choice on the Supernova is intentional—eliminating snag points, preventing internal chaos, and ensuring the user maintains control from pocket to anchor.

Controlled Movement Where It Matters

Unlike soft, free-floating escape bags that allow components to shift and tangle, the Supernova uses rugged materials and internal friction to stabilize the system within the pocket. This positive friction reduces unwanted movement during crawling, ladder work, and rapid position changes—keeping the system staged and ready.

Purpose-Driven Internal Organization

The hook, rope, and descender are compartmentalized, preventing cross-interaction during deployment. This separation minimizes snagging, reduces deployment resistance, and ensures each component releases in the intended sequence.

• Recessed rope shelf manages rope payout while maintaining control

• Breakaway descender retention keeps the device staged until intentionally deployed

• Dedicated hook compartment prevents interference with rope and hardware

Engineered for Fast, Intuitive Deployment

The vinyl-lined hook slot reduces friction and resistance when deploying the hook, allowing smooth release even under load or with gloved hands. The slot is positioned for natural, intuitive access, reducing unnecessary hand movement and fumbling during bailout.

A large reinforced purchase point allows the bag to be aggressively opened when time and dexterity are limited.

Built for Versatility in Escape & Partner Evacuation

The bag sides are secured with breakaway hook-and-loop panels designed to separate when necessary, allowing access to the opposite end of the rope for partner evacuation.

Structural Reinforcement Where It Counts

The Supernova features a reinforced back and bottom, providing rigidity that helps the bag maintain its shape during carry and deployment. This structure supports cleaner openings, consistent rope payout, and improved durability over the life of the system.

Built by Those Who Use It

The Supernova Pocket Escape Bag is proudly made in Western Pennsylvania by rescuers, for rescuers. It reflects real fireground experience, training feedback, and a commitment to equipment that works when it’s needed most.

No excess. No guesswork. Just a specialized, purpose-built escape bag designed to deploy cleanly—every time.
