Description
Heat shrinkable tubing for marking and finishing off rope ends. Slip over end of rope and apply hot air or infrared heat source of 275° F. Clear tubing will shrink tightly around rope and marker. Sold in whole foot increments. Available in 3/8″ and 3/4″. Will shrink to approximately 50% of its original diameter. Weight 0.5 oz. per foot. Made in the U.S.A.
- 3/8” – Inside diameter (not shrunk) 0.375” – Inside diameter (shrunk) 0.187”
- 3/4- Inside diameter (not shrunk) 0.750” – Inside diameter (shrunk) 0.375”

I got the 3/4″ to use on my 11mm rope. Based on the description, it should have shrunk down by 50% to 9mm but it didn’t really even end up gripping my 11.4mm rope very well. I did use a real heat gun rather than blow-dryer. The 3/8″ option would likely be too small for my rope to start with, but I didn’t get that size.
