The #1 Ascender is intended for climbing ropes and pack hauling by mountain climbers and cavers. It is NOT intended for litter raising or the support of more than one person or for self belay. We recommend using a #2SS, #3, #4 or a #4SS for litter raising. It features an aluminum shell, free running cast aluminum cam and is intended for 7/16″ (11mm) and 1/2″ (13 mm) ropes. Made in the U.S.A.
