PETZL, Rig Compact Self Braking Descender
Designed for rope access work (expert users only). Multi-functional handle allows the user to:
- unblock the rope and control the descent with the hand on the free end of the rope
- position himself while on the rope without tying off the device
The automatic return system on the handle limits risks in case of an involuntary action by the user. Handle storage position reduces the risk of snagging when the descender is being carried on the harness. The safety gate on the moving side plate helps prevent dropping the device and facilitates installation of the rope and passing intermediate anchors. Pivoting cam facilitates taking up the slack in the rope. Can also be used to make a reversible haul system, and for short ascents (in conjunction with a FOOTPRO foot loop and an ASCENSION handled rope clamp). For single ropes between 10.5 and 11.5 mm in diameter. Colors: Gold or Black. Weight 13.4 oz. (380 g). NFPA1983-06 Light Use Certified. Made in France

PETZL, I'D Descent Device Small
Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for working on fixed ropes. Designed for work on a rope: the gate on the swinging side plate helps prevent dropping the device. Multi-functional handle allows the user to:
- unblock the rope and control the descent with the hand on the braking side of the rope
- move more easily on horizontal or low-angle terrain thanks to the button on the handle
- to position himself while on the rope
Anti-panic function is engaged if the user pulls too hard on the handle: the pivoting cam is released and automatically brakes to stop the descent. Anti-error safety cam to reduce the risk of an accident due to incorrect installation of the device on the rope. The shape of the cam is designed to improve rope glide during an ascent.
Pivoting cam makes it easier to take up the slack in the rope. Can also be used to make a reversible haul system, and for short ascents (in conjunction with a FOOTPRO footloop and an ASCENSION handled rope clamp). For ropes between 10 and 11.5 mm in diameter. Weight: 18.6 oz (530 g). Made in France.

Mobile fall arrester for use on 3/8" (10.5 mm) to 1/2" (13 mm) safety rope.The ASAP will stops a fall, slide or uncontrolled descent. The ASAP locks even if the device is grabbed during a fall. Works on both vertical or angled rope. Moves along the rope without manual intervention (downwards and upwards).

The energy generated from a fall is absorbed by the tearing of specific stitching. Available in two lengths, for the desired distance from the safety rope. Terminations equipped with STRINGs to hold the connector in position and protect the webbing from abrasion. Certification CE EN 355 Weight 20 cm: 2.1 oz. (60 g), 40 cm 3.5 oz. (100 g).
